കോഴിക്കോട്: വാഹനാപകടത്തില്‍ ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ് ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്ന യുവാവ് മരിച്ചു. ഓടക്കുന്ന് കണ്ടംപാറക്കല്‍ അക്ഷയ് കുമാര്‍ ആണ് മരിച്ചത്.

ദേശിയ പാതയില്‍ താമരശ്ശേരിക്ക് സമീപം വട്ടക്കുണ്ട് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് വ്യാഴാഴ്ച അര്‍ദ്ധരാത്രി പന്ത്രണ്ടോടെയാണ് അപകടം നടന്നത്. താമരശ്ശേരി ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും കൊടുവള്ളി ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് പോകുകയായിരുന്ന അക്ഷയ് സഞ്ചരിച്ച ബുള്ളറ്റില്‍ ലോറി ഇടിച്ചായിരുന്നു അപകടം.

ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ് അര മണിക്കൂറോളം റോഡില്‍ രക്തം വാര്‍ന്നു കിടന്ന അക്ഷയ് യെ ഇതുവഴിവന്ന മറ്റു യാത്രക്കാരാണ് 108 ആംബുലന്‍സില്‍ താമരശ്ശേരി താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രിയിലും തുടര്‍ന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലും എത്തിച്ചത്.

അപകടത്തിന്റെ കാരണം തുടക്കത്തില്‍ വ്യക്തമല്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും, മരം കയറ്റിവന്ന ലോറി ബുള്ളറ്റില്‍ ഇടിക്കുന്നത് പിന്നീട് പ്രദേശത്തെ സിസിടിവി ദൃശ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. അപകടമുണ്ടാക്കിയ ലോറി നിര്‍ത്താതെ ഓടിച്ചു പോയി.
