**മൂവാറ്റുപുഴ : ** പ്രായപൂർത്തിയാകാത്ത പെൺകുട്ടിയെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ച കേസിൽ യുവാവിന് ശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ച് കോടതി. 47 വർഷം കഠിനതടവും 3.25 ലക്ഷം രൂപ പിഴയുമാണ് വിധിച്ചത്. വൈക്കം കടവൂർ കളത്തിൽ വീട്ടിൽ ജിബിനെയാണ് മൂവാറ്റുപുഴ പോക്സോ കോടതി സ്പെഷ്യൽ ജഡ്ജി എ സമീർ ശിക്ഷിച്ചത്.

2021-ലാണ് കേസിനാസ്പദമായ സംഭവം നടന്നത്. കോതമംഗലം സ്വദേശിനിയായ പെൺകുട്ടിയും പ്രതിയും ഇൻസ്റ്റഗ്രാമിലൂടെയാണ് പരിചയപ്പെട്ടത്. കൂട്ടുകാരിയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കെന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് പോയ പെൺകുട്ടി ദിവസങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും തിരിച്ചെത്താത്തതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ബന്ധുക്കൾ കോതമംഗലം പൊലീസിൽ പരാതി നൽകുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് നടത്തിയ അന്വേഷണത്തിലാണ് ജിബിനെയും പെൺകുട്ടിയെയും പൊലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തുന്നത്.

കോതമംഗലം, കുമളി, ആലപ്പുഴ തുടങ്ങിയ വിവിധ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നാണ് കേസ്. കോതമംഗലം സിഐമാരായ വി.എസ്. വിപിൻ, ബേസിൽ തോമസ്, എസ്.ഐ. ഷാജി കുര്യാക്കോസ്, എ.എസ്.ഐ. ജോബി മത്തായി, വനിതാ സിവിൽ പൊലീസ് ഓഫിസർമാരായ ബഷീറ, ബിന്ദു എന്നിവരടങ്ങുന്ന സംഘമാണ് കേസ് അന്വേഷിച്ചത്. പ്രോസിക്യൂഷനുവേണ്ടി സ്പെഷ്യൽ പ്രോസിക്യൂട്ടർ പി.ആർ. ജമുന ഹാജരായി.
