**ബെംഗളൂരു: **സ്കൂട്ടർ നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട് മറിഞ്ഞ് ലോറിയിടിച്ച് മലയാളി യുവതി മരിച്ചു. കോഴിക്കോട് ബാലുശേരി അറപ്പീടിക ഖാദി റോഡ് കൊട്ടക്കാട്ട് വീട്ടിൽ റിട്ട. അധ്യാപകൻ പൃഥിരാജ് മുടക്കല്ലൂരിന്റെ മകൾ മേഥ പൃഥിരാജ് ആണ് മരിച്ചത്.

എംപ്ലോയിസ് പ്രൊവിഡന്റ് ഫണ്ട് ഓഫിസിലെ ജീവനക്കാരിയായ മേഥ ജോലിക്ക് പോകുന്നതിനിടെ ഇന്നലെ രാവിലെ 9ന് ഇലക്ട്രോണിക് സിറ്റിയിലായിരുന്നു അപകടം. സ്കൂട്ടറിന്റെ നിയന്ത്രണം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് റോഡിലേക്ക് തെറിച്ചുവീണ മേഥയെ പിന്നാലെ വന്ന ലോറി ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് വെച്ച് തന്നെ മേഥ മരിച്ചു. മൃതദേഹം സെന്റ് ജോൺസ് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പോസ്റ്റ്മോർട്ടം നടപടികൾക്ക് ശേഷം നാട്ടിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി. സംസ്കാരം ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ 10ന് കൊട്ടക്കാട്ടെ വീട്ടുവളപ്പിൽ നടക്കും. ഭർത്താവ്: എസ്.എൽ. ആകർഷ്, ഐടി ജീവനക്കാരൻ, ബെംഗളൂരു.

ഓഫിസിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നതിനിടെയുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തിൽ യുവതി മരിച്ച വാർത്ത അറിഞ്ഞ് നാട്ടുകാരും ബന്ധുക്കളും കൂട്ടമായി എത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇലക്ട്രോണിക് സിറ്റി പൊലീസ് കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു.

Metha Prithiraj, 30, a native of Balussery in Kozhikode and employee at the Employees' Provident Fund Office in Bengaluru, died after her scooter skidded and she was hit by a lorry in Electronic City yesterday morning around 9 am.
